About The Position

SpecSys is seeking a Project Manager to join an established and growing team. This role is responsible for customer contact, scheduling product deliveries, and adhering to predetermined project timelines during the manufacturing phase. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced prototype manufacturing environment and possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.

Requirements

Knowledge of raw material and manufacturing processes
Works with a high sense of urgency
Knowledge of Microsoft products
Blueprint reading
Communications skills adaptable enough to interact with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Quality, and Clients
Understanding of Bill of Materials and MRP usage
Comfortable with rapid change

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Responsibility for all project documentation
Research questions related to the fabrication, welding, painting and assembly of customer projects and communicate the answers to the shop floor personnel
Coordinate delivery of outsourced components with the purchasing department to ensure vendor supplied parts are delivered in a timely manner
Act as a primary focal point for customer contact during the manufacturing phase of a project
Monitor manufacturing progress against predetermined timeline milestones and advise management personnel of timelines changes and ECO's that take place during the course of a project
Create shop floor work orders and properly structure Bills of Material (BOM) to reflect raw material assignments for in-house work or outsourcing sequences followed by in-house machining / welding / assembly / paint
Ensure DXF files are created for laser and burn tables
Will spend 30% to 50% of time on the shop floor
