About The Position

Responsible for leading and delivering marketing and communications projects from initiation through completion, with a strong focus on strategy, organization, and collaboration. Oversees complex, high-visibility initiatives by defining project scope, goals, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, while managing workflows and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities. Coordinates closely with internal teams, campus partners, and external stakeholders, proactively identifying and resolving risks, and continuously improving processes and project management practices. Acts as the primary point of review for project requests, ensuring efforts support broader organizational goals, and provides consistent updates to leadership. Oversees departmental budget; participates in planning and committee work; and represents University Relations across campus initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least five years of combined experience in higher education, marketing, communications or project management
  • Strong understanding of project management concepts and tools, MarComm roles, and complex budgeting
  • Familiarity with Agile basics
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
