About The Position

We are seeking a technically strong Project Manager with an engineering background who has transitioned into leading programs and cross-functional initiatives. This individual understands engineering at a practical level and can translate technical requirements into structured plans, timelines, and deliverables. The ideal candidate has several years of hands-on engineering experience and now brings demonstrated success managing schedules, resources, budgets, and customer expectations. This role requires someone who can bridge engineering and operations while maintaining accountability for execution. Work Environment This is an in-office role operating in both office and production settings. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams. Occasional interaction with manufacturing environments and technical equipment may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, or related field)
  • 3–7 years of engineering experience
  • 3 - 4 years of project management experience (formal or informal leadership of projects)
  • Strong understanding of engineering development lifecycles
  • Experience managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • PMP certification or working toward certification
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering projects from concept through delivery
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
  • Track progress and hold teams accountable to milestones
  • Provide clear, concise updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Translate engineering requirements into actionable project plans
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to align scope
  • Support design reviews, change management, and configuration control
  • Ensure deliverables meet technical and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage expectations around scope, schedule, and cost
  • Facilitate effective communication across technical and non-technical teams
  • Improve project tracking systems and documentation practices
  • Standardize reporting and execution workflows
  • Support compliance with industry standards and customer flow-downs
