About The Position

The project manager will lead projects from award through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on, field-driven role—you will spend significant time on job sites working alongside crews, solving problems in real time, and staying close to the work. Candidates should expect to be actively engaged in the field, not just managing from an office. This role provides oversight, evaluation, and improvement of the efficiency of the project management team, ensuring adherence to management principles established by the Senior Leadership Team. The project manager will participate in customer site visits, proposal development, and contract development/reviews to ensure a complete understanding of scope, contractual obligations, and risk of jobs. They will work with the Project Sales Representative before project development, taking the project from sales through development into execution, maintaining communication throughout the project, and documenting changes that affect the job scope, schedule, or budget agreement. The role involves interacting with customers, engineers, vendors, suppliers, and others during the design and planning phase. A key responsibility is working closely with the project team to develop and maintain an overall project schedule, highlighting critical path items and anticipating problematic issues. The project manager is responsible for foreseeing typical issues that historically challenge schedules, construction, and impact project costs, and then working with the project team to develop solutions. Regular and accurate communication of project status, including schedule, financial status, risk assessment, quality, safety, and other key areas, is essential. The role also includes coordinating work crews and scheduling required equipment. The project manager must be willing to travel as needed and be able to work with and manage field leadership.
