Requirements

MA/MHP/MS in archaeology, anthropology, history, or historic preservation
Two to four years of experience managing archaeological field projects
Applied knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act
Working familiarity of other environmental statutes and regulations
Ability to travel
Ability to perform physical labor
Ability to spend time in outdoor conditions
Ability to work as a member of a diverse team
Ability to manage projects and people
Ability to complete other delegated project tasks
Ability to work professionally with clients and government agencies
Ability to supervise the work of others
Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute detailed research designs
Conduct fieldwork - including archaeological survey, testing, and data recovery investigations
Lead projects, including field, lab, and reporting efforts, as Principal Investigator
Identify prehistoric and historic artifacts and features in the field
Effectively discuss projects with colleagues, clients, and review agencies
Prepare and manage budgets and schedules
Write professional technical reports and publications
Work as a member of a diverse team, manage projects and people, and complete other delegated project tasks
Work professionally with clients and government agencies
Supervise the work of others
