About The Position

The Project Manager for the National Fiber Team will lead and coordinate large-scale fiber infrastructure projects across the United States, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. This role is pivotal in driving the expansion and enhancement of fiber optic networks that support wholesale trade operations and connectivity solutions. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and external vendors, to manage project schedules, risks, and resources effectively. They will also serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication and status updates throughout the project lifecycle. Ultimately, this position aims to deliver high-quality fiber network projects that meet strategic business objectives and support national connectivity goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure or telecommunications projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills daily to coordinate complex fiber network projects, ensuring all team members and vendors are aligned and productive.
  • Effective communication skills are essential for conveying project status, negotiating with stakeholders, and resolving conflicts.
  • Proficiency with project management software enables the tracking of schedules, budgets, and resources, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Analytical skills support risk assessment and the development of mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
  • Technical knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure and industry standards enhances the ability to oversee quality control and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience specifically in fiber optic network deployment or telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage detailed project plans for fiber network deployment and upgrades.

  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
