The Project Manager supervises a team of General Forepersons and their crews, ensuring the proper administration, communication, and enforcement of work practices. This includes policy enforcement, quality and quantity of work production, adherence to safety practices, employee relations, and interpretation of Union Agreements. The role involves working with Human Resources on all aspects of employment for crew members, including hiring, discipline, separation, and leaves of absence. The Project Manager is responsible for promoting positive employee relations, managing conflicts, and participating in drug testing and reasonable suspicion training. They will train, coach, and evaluate employees, conduct safety training, and manage daily production tasks, ensuring the accuracy of records and reports. Reporting to the Supervisor/Manager and Utility representative, they will provide updates on orders, work completed, crew time, and distribution, as well as reports on accidents, breakdowns, and employee feedback. The Project Manager will investigate accidents and claims, manage crew costs, and stay informed about new equipment and procedures. They will maintain contact with customers, property owners, the public, contractors, utilities, and government agencies, representing Wright Tree Service professionally. The role requires working around hazardous equipment, energized power lines, excessive noise, and in various weather conditions, potentially on rough terrain. Other related duties may be assigned.
