About The Position

Kokosing is seeking a Project Manager for heavy highway roadway and bridge projects. The role plans, directs, and coordinates heavy highway and bridge construction activities, ensuring project goals are achieved within established schedules and funding parameters. The Project Manager oversees Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Foremen who supervise construction employees, and provides overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, plus 10 or more years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Review project proposals or plans to determine timeframes, funding limits, procedures, staffing requirements, and resources for project phases.
Establish work plans and staffing for each project phase, including arranging recruitment or assignment of personnel.
Outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and authority to project staff.
Direct and coordinate project personnel to keep work on schedule and within budget.
Review status reports and modify schedules or plans as needed.
Prepare project reports for management, clients, and others.
Provide technical advice to project personnel and help resolve problems.
Coordinate project activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
Analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules.
Perform other assigned tasks and duties.
Conduct supervisory activities, including interviewing and hiring, training, planning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding or disciplining employees, and resolving complaints and problems.
