Arcadis is seeking a Project Manager with at least five (5) years of experience supporting or managing educational facility, municipal, or other vertical construction projects. The successful candidate will coordinate project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder engagement while working with senior project leaders, clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a proactive and organized project management professional with practical experience across planning, design, procurement, construction, occupancy, and closeout. This position is remote-based and will primarily support client projects throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area while also supporting educational and municipal projects in other regions of Arizona as business needs require. Regular travel to project sites, client meetings, and stakeholder engagements throughout Arizona is expected.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management, construction management, program management, or capital project delivery.
  • Experience supporting or managing vertical construction projects through one or more phases of planning, design, construction, occupancy, or closeout.
  • Experience coordinating project scope, schedules, budgets, documentation, and stakeholder activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, track actions, communicate issues, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Working knowledge of construction documentation, project controls, contract administration, or procurement processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and client meetings throughout Arizona as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field. A degree is preferred but not required, and equivalent combinations of education, certifications, military experience, and relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • Experience supporting educational facility, K-12, higher education, or municipal capital improvement projects.
  • Experience working as part of an Owner’s Representative, Program Management, Construction Management, design, contractor, or public-sector project team.
  • Familiarity with public-sector procurement, contract administration, and capital project delivery processes.
  • Exposure to alternative project delivery methods, including CMAR and Design-Build.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local requirements applicable to public construction projects.
  • Experience supporting public meetings, stakeholder engagement, or community outreach activities.
  • Working knowledge of one or more project management and construction tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, or e-Builder.
  • PMP, CAPM, CCM, or another relevant professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage projects or assigned workstreams of varying size and complexity under the direction of senior project leadership, as appropriate.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, action logs, and performance information.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements, and promptly communicate potential variances or concerns.
  • Identify project risks and issues, support the development of mitigation strategies, and elevate significant matters when required.
  • Coordinate activities among clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support planning, design development, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, occupancy, and closeout activities.
  • Facilitate or support project meetings, prepare meeting notes and status reports, track action items, and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Review consultant and contractor deliverables, schedules, cost information, change requests, requests for information (RFIs), and other project documentation within the assigned level of responsibility.
  • Support contract administration, procurement activities, invoice review, and compliance with applicable contract requirements, regulations, and standards.
  • Analyze project information and provide practical recommendations to support project decisions and improve delivery outcomes.
  • Build effective working relationships and maintain clear communication with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Support community outreach, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with public agencies and local jurisdictions as required.
