About The Position

ReNuke Services is seeking a Transmission Project Manager for our client's site in Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the office. The candidate will be required to travel for site visits approximately once per week, with no overnight travel necessary. A personal vehicle will be driven, and mileage will be reimbursed. The role demands experience in Transmission and Distribution substations. Transmission Project Managers are responsible for managing planned and emergent capital construction projects within the Carolinas geographic footprint. This involves leading a project team comprising design engineers, material procurement specialists, construction management and planning personnel, and all associated construction crews. The primary focus will be on maintaining an accurate cost forecast and schedule throughout the project lifecycle, and guiding the project team to ensure timely completion of all milestones and deliverables. This position typically manages multiple White or Green projects as defined by the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • Graduation from a two-year college or university.
  • Working knowledge of project management principles.
  • Working Knowledge to Proficiency in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving.
  • Project related work experience.
  • Risk Management.
  • Project Leadership.
  • Proven Collaborative Team Member.
  • Transmission and Distribution substation experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • Utility Technical Certifications/Training.
  • PMI (PMP or CAPM) Certification.
  • CMII certificates.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Working knowledge to proficiency in project related Scheduling/ Cost Controls.
  • Experience in utility industry.
  • Knowledge in construction management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing planned and emergent capital construction projects within the Carolinas geographic footprint.
  • Leading a project team consisting of design engineers, material procurement specialists, construction management and planning personnel and all construction crews associated with the project.
  • Maintaining an accurate cost forecast and schedule during the entire project lifecycle.
  • Leading the project team to ensure that every milestone and deliverable is completed on time.
