About The Position

Martin Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our growing Critical Projects Group supporting complex concrete construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven construction leader who thrives on responsibility, enjoys managing complex projects, and is passionate about delivering exceptional results. As a Project Manager, you will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing every phase of execution while partnering with Superintendents, Project Executives, clients, subcontractors, and field teams. Our Critical Projects Group specializes in delivering concrete construction for some of the nation's most demanding projects, including data centers, power generation facilities, waste and water treatment plants, manufacturing facilities, and other mission-critical infrastructure. This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and requires working onsite at active construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Travel may be required based on project assignments and contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing commercial concrete construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction, formwork systems, construction sequencing, means, and methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with clients, subcontractors, field personnel, and executive leadership.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and cost controls.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Comfortable working primarily onsite at active commercial construction projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
  • Willingness to travel as project assignments require.

Responsibilities

  • Lead concrete construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and critical path activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work onsite with Superintendents, field teams, clients, and project leadership to coordinate daily operations.
  • Review labor productivity, project costs, and production performance to maintain budget objectives.
  • Oversee project quality, safety, scheduling, logistics, and overall operational execution.
  • Coordinate with operations teams regarding formwork systems, manpower planning, equipment, procurement, and project logistics.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Manage material procurement, vendor coordination, and timely delivery of project materials.
  • Prepare and administer change orders, proposals, Requests for Pricing (RFPs), project budgets, and preliminary schedules.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks while implementing effective solutions.
  • Lead client meetings, internal project meetings, and project planning sessions.
  • Maintain contract documentation, change management logs, and project reporting.
  • Ensure all project closeout documentation is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Share lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Critical Projects Group.
  • Provide regular project updates to executive leadership, identifying risks, opportunities, and project performance metrics.
