About The Position

John Grace Restoration & Construction has been helping West Michigan homeowners recover from water, fire/smoke, storm, flood, and mold damage for over 10 years. We are expanding our reach and looking for a Project Manager in the Lansing area. Training will be out of our Comstock Park location. We are looking for someone who has 3-5 years of construction experience, 2-3 years of leadership experience in a construction environment, is organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities, communicates effectively with homeowners, employees, subcontractors, and vendors, is comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently, has strong technology skills and is comfortable learning new systems, and can provide constructive feedback, coach team members, and receive feedback.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of construction experience.
  • 2–3 years of leadership experience in a construction environment.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Communicates effectively with homeowners, employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Comfortable making decisions and solving problems independently.
  • Strong technology skills and comfortable learning new systems.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback, coach team members, and receive feedback.
  • Ability to perform a physically active job, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and lifting/moving 50+ pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check for work on insurance-related claims.
  • Basic smartphone, email, and technology skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of 3–6 employees.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage project schedules from start to completion.
  • Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, materials, and other project needs.
  • Monitor project progress, labor hours, quality, and productivity.
  • Communicate project schedules, expectations, progress, and changes with homeowners and team members.
  • Explain construction processes and project expectations to homeowners in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ensure work meets John Grace quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and utilize company technology and systems.
  • Participate in the on-call board up rotation.
