About The Position

United Pipeline Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead pipeline lining projects from contract award through final completion. This position is responsible for overall project planning, coordination, financial performance, and successful execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to customer expectations. The Project Manager works closely with Leadership, Operations, and Superintendents to ensure projects are effectively planned, resourced, and executed. Serving as a key point of contact for customers, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders, this role proactively manages project risks, resolves challenges, and drives successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management or construction management experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts, estimating, scheduling, cost controls, forecasting, and change-order management.
  • Experience in pipeline construction, rehabilitation, trenchless construction, underground utilities, water/wastewater pipelines, or heavy civil construction strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong financial, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively work with customers, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with standard business software, including Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced education in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; relevant industry experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage pipeline lining projects from contract award through final closeout.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, and scopes of work to understand project requirements and identify risks.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and execution plans.
  • Coordinate with field leadership on manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, mobilization, and project sequencing.
  • Track production, job costs, committed costs, revenue, margin, and cost-to-complete throughout the project.
  • Identify scope changes and manage pricing, documentation, and negotiation of change orders.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, material procurement, and project-specific services.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding schedule, progress, changes, and project issues.
  • Coordinate project requirements including permits, access, inspections, testing, documentation, and customer deliverables.
  • Support accurate and timely project billing and resolution of outstanding commercial items.
  • Partner with field leadership to address safety, quality, productivity, and constructability issues.
  • Drive project closeout, including punch-list items, final documentation, customer acceptance, and financial reconciliation.
  • Visit project sites and travel as required.
