About The Position

At ABB, we help industries run leaner and cleaner. This position reports to the Manufacturing Unit Manager and follows an onsite work model in Mebane, NC. In this role, you will lead the execution of medium-size projects, ensuring all activities align with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will lead project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet committed project results. Your main accountabilities include leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, overseeing planning, monitoring, and control activities for internal and external resources, monitoring and controlling project progress, resource utilization, and financials, identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks while pursuing opportunities, and driving formal acceptance of the project and contract close-out.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in business, supply chain, engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of manufacturing industry experience that includes project management experience
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree or MBA
  • PMP preferred
  • Supply chain experience, a plus
  • Background in project management, power delivery, and familiarity with ABB solutions preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of medium-size projects.
  • Ensure all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets.
  • Lead the project team members to achieve project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the committed project result.
  • Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Monitor and control project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risk, and ensure all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
