About The Position

The Project Manager role at Hamlin focuses on enhancing the PM Process, ensuring Customer Satisfaction on Current Projects, enabling On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery, and maintaining Clear Communication to Customers. This role involves managing job orders, facilitating quality checks, prioritizing customer needs, and demonstrating a commitment to accuracy and timeliness. The Project Manager will monitor job progress, coordinate with subcontractors, schedule deliveries, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure project success.

  • Scheduling deliveries based on jobsite progress.
  • Creating orders with adequate lead time.
  • Notifying purchasing of stock issues or high volume needs.
  • Clear and quick communication with contractors.
  • Prompt response to questions.
  • Notifying parties of changes and setting new expectations.
  • Informing Branch Manager, Sales, and GC of issues or changes.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the Project Management Processes to create orders for jobs using spec sheets, checklists, and critical thinking.
  • Facilitate a QC (quality check) to be complete to ensure material is ordered and sent accurately to the job site.
  • Prioritize customer orders that need to be completed to ensure that material is sent to the job site when the customer expects it.
  • Dependably demonstrate a relentless obsession with improving accuracy and timeliness.
  • Have a pulse on how the job is going, observing weather patterns, delays, or productivity.
  • Know which subs are installing and make adjustments to their preferences.
  • Share information on how material was figured.
  • Schedule deliveries to make sense with jobsite progress.
  • Create orders with enough time for the yard to respond appropriately as well as product to arrive.
  • Notify purchasing of out of stocks or unusually high volume needs.
  • Communicate quickly and clearly to contractors what they can expect from you and what you expect from them to ensure the job is successful.
  • Respond quickly to questions.
  • Notify parties when changes happen to set new expectations.
  • Keep Branch Manager, Sales, and GC informed of any pressing issues or changes.
