About The Position

Fiber Network Services is a communications contractor offering a full range of fiber optic cable network services. With Master Construction Agreements with Cox Communications, Comcast Cable, Crown Castle, Segra, Suddenlink, Windstream, and RCN in the States of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and in Washington D.C., we are a trusted resource for cabling and maintaining high-speed internet connectivity via fiber optic and Coaxial systems. We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Project Manager to work out of our corporate office in Roanoke, VA to lead and manage projects across the full lifecycle of Portfolio Strategy, Real Estate, Design, Construction Management, and Facilities Management. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in project management, real estate development, and construction, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management within real estate, construction, facilities management, or a related industry.
Proven experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from strategy to execution.
Strong background in financial planning, including budgeting, cost control, and capital expenditure oversight.
Experience implementing project management tools and standardized methodologies.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or similar).
Strong understanding of real estate development, design, and construction processes.
Ability to review and interpret project documentation, contracts, and compliance requirements.
Knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and performance tracking metrics.
Strong ability to integrate project management across various disciplines, including real estate, design, construction, and facilities management.
Excellent ability to define project scope and manage stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives and deliverables.
Skilled in supervising project participants, ensuring quality, timeliness, and problem-solving.
Expertise in risk management, mitigation strategies, and providing transparent updates on project status.
Ability to deliver high-speed projects with a sense of urgency and market competitiveness.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills across internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

Integrate project management across the full lifecycle of Portfolio Strategy, Real Estate, Design, Construction Management, and Facilities Management.
Collaborate with developers, landlords, contractors, engineers, architects, and other external consultants, as well as internal teams such as Finance, Supply Chain, Design, and executive leadership.
Use project management tools and a playbook methodology to ensure consistent processes across all projects.
Define project scope in partnership with internal and external partners.
Oversee operating and capital budgets for projects, including approval of spending levels and plans.
Plan and manage all project phases to meet deadlines.
Supervise project participants, ensuring quality, timeliness, and offering guidance, value engineering, and creative solutions when needed.
Review project documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Provide transparent and regular updates to internal customers on project scope, schedule, budget, and risks, offering creative mitigation strategies.
Deliver projects with urgency and meet high expectations for speed to market.
Establish and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and track performance metrics.
Evaluate contractor performance based on innovation, quality of work, and adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
Implement best practices to enhance customer satisfaction and project performance.
Foster a positive culture of engagement across Real Estate and Facilities teams, as well as with all internal and external partners.
