About The Position

Serves as a Life-Cycle Project Manager, with overall responsibility for planning, scope, development, design, construction and direction of important civil works/military projects. Duties Assures the overall management, control, coordination and execution of assigned projects. Coordinates planning, design, cost-engineering, construction and environmental restoration, etc., for engineering or planning projects of substantial scope and complexity. Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and initial operations. Represents the District Commander, serving as the District's primary point-of-contact with sponsor/customer; various Federal, state and local government agencies; and other external organizations. Keeps the sponsor/customer fully informed of project progress, issues and their resolution, and any impacts on costs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • This position has been designated as performing Project and/or Program Management functions.
  • Program and Project Managers are required to achieve, at minimum, Level 1 CDP internal qualification.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). (GS-11)
