About The Position

VP Supply Corp. is a leading wholesale distributor of HVAC, plumbing, and industrial supplies, serving contractors, engineers, and commercial customers. With a strong commitment to product expertise, customer service, and dependable inventory, VP Supply Corp. partners with customers to support successful project execution and long-term growth. The Project Manager facilitates the project management with onsite contractor from handoff through closeout — managing schedule, subcontractors, equipment procurement direct from LG, safety, and client communication. This is a field-based role; the successful candidate will spend the majority of the workweek at active job sites overseeing crews and coordinating directly with general contractors, engineers, LG factory representatives, and end customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial HVAC, with direct experience on chiller installations or replacements.
  • Working knowledge of chilled-water systems: centrifugal, screw, absorption, and scroll chillers; LG Multi V VRF; cooling towers; primary/secondary pumping; and BAS/controls integration (LG MultiSITE, BACnet, Modbus).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
  • Proven track record managing projects in the $10M–$100M range, on schedule and on budget.
  • Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or equivalent).
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire).
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to and work from job sites daily.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with owners, GCs, and trades.

  • LG HVAC Academy certification or factory training on LG chiller and VRF product lines.
  • Experience with low-GWP refrigerant transitions (R-513A, R-1233zd, R-514A, R-32).
  • Prior experience as an LG Authorized Service Contractor (LGASC) or working alongside LG factory teams on large commercial installations.
  • LG Factory training certification MLV-12

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of LG chiller projects on-site.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules and resource plans; track progress against milestones and report variances to leadership and the client.
  • Coordinate delivery logistics with the manufacturer (LG) including rigging, staging, and site access planning. Facilitate any equipment material procurement and warranty filing necessary.
  • Participate in daily/weekly on-site coordination of foremen, technicians, and subcontractors (electrical, controls, insulation, rigging, crane).
  • Review mechanical drawings, submittals, shop drawings, and equipment specifications for jobsite installation; coordinate with engineers on RFIs and field design changes.
  • Oversee installation quality, including pipe fitting, refrigerant line sets, glycol systems, chilled-water loop integration, and LG Multisite / BACnet controls integration with the building BMS.
  • Manage commissioning and startup activities in coordination with LG factory service technicians, LG Authorized Service Contractors (LGASC), and the controls contractor.
  • Follow job-site safety standards (OSHA 30, lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, fall protection) and join toolbox talks.
