About The Position

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Project Manager – Level 2 to join its team in Redondo Beach, California. The position is 100% onsite and does not accommodate telecommuting. The role oversees operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison among project management and planning, project teams, and line management. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off, and requires travel 10% of the time. The role is contingent on obtaining final clearances and program access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of professional experience, or a master’s degree and no professional experience; alternatively, 4 or more additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
• Experience with SAP and MRP.
• Experience with Tableau.
• Experience working comfortably with little supervision.
• Experience with scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects.
• Serve as a liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and line management.
• Review project and budget status, manage schedules, and prepare status reports.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develop mechanisms to monitor project progress and support intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
