About The Position

Metso is seeking a Project Manager to join the Crushing Business Line Project Delivery Complex Systems team. The role leads complex international projects, mainly crushing plants and conveyor systems, and is accountable for the full contractual scope, including engineering, supply, and site supervision. The Project Manager has end-to-end responsibility from pre-sale through warranty and ensures projects meet contractual and performance requirements while supporting customer satisfaction and business objectives.

The position is mainly based in Sorocaba, Brazil; Brookfield, USA; or Espoo, Finland, and involves up to 50% international travel depending on the project phase. The role reports to the Director, Project Delivery Complex Systems. The team manages international projects for crushing plants and belt conveyor systems and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders across sales, supply chain, quality, proposal, engineering, and planning.

Requirements

• Professional command of English.
• At least 10 years of project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
• Proven experience implementing complex projects and superior project management skills.
• Essential technology, engineering, commercial, and construction experience in crushing technologies or the industry.
• Ability to understand extensive contractual language and terms and apply them to contractual requirements and customer expectations.
• Intercultural awareness, motivational and negotiation skills, conflict management, and related leadership soft skills.
• Excellent skills in dealing with customers, vendors, and company personnel.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and stay in remote areas for up to a month at a time.
• Strong drive and performance orientation, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex international projects for the Crushing Business Line.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, from pre-sale through warranty.
• Develop and implement an optimum execution strategy.
• Provide direction and guidance to project team members.
• Coordinate internal and external project stakeholders, with particular emphasis on the customer interface.
• Ensure seamless project execution in line with contractual requirements, performance KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
• Consider opportunities for additional capital expenditure and service sales.
• Enable an efficient and cost-effective handover to operations.
• Maintain high safety standards and promote a strong safety culture and environmental awareness throughout project implementation.
• Comply with project governance and reporting requirements.
