This position is a Project Manager for the NC CEAL research initiative, one of 21 Community Engagement Research Alliance ( CEAL ) against health disparities in all communities. NC CEAL is committed to strengthen communities across North Carolina by championing science-based resources, fostering partnerships, and promoting innovative, community-driven research to enhance health for all. The research initiative is based out of the Center for Thriving Communities in the Department of Social Medicine at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. This position will require the management of all project deliverables and timelines. This can include but is not limited to protocol development, IRB application submission, study recruitment and enrollment, data collection, meeting facilitation, and scholarly products. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all project-related activities are in alignment with the milestone-based work plan and deadlines are met. This position will serve as a Project Manager for the NC CEAL project. This position will be responsible for the management of study activities and progress for NC CEAL research studies. This person will manage the development of protocols, the submission of IRB applications and modifications, the ongoing enrollment of study participants, data collection from participants, and assist in the analysis and dissemination process. The Project Manager will take business minutes, manage project files, develop tracking tools and processes, schedule meetings, and report weekly updates to the NC CEAL Program Manager. It is expected that this position will work closely with the rest of the NC CEAL staff as a team and provide significant administrative support coordinating communication, project planning, and finances with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have community engagement and community-engaged research experience with underserved communities in North Carolina. The Project Manager must be able to manage a dynamic project, write clearly, and provide overall project management.
