About The Position

The Project Manager will own the end-to-end delivery of technology change across Rates & FX hybrid broking platforms (voice and electronic). This includes managing BAU enhancements, regulatory changes, and integration programs. The role requires working with business sponsors and portfolio stakeholders to ensure initiatives align with strategic objectives and maintaining a clear delivery roadmap. The Project Manager will build and manage integrated project plans, track progress, and proactively manage dependencies across workstreams. Coordination across cross-functional teams (IT development, Compliance, Operations, Data, Infrastructure) is essential to ensure clear ownership, sequencing, and operational readiness. The role involves implementing and owning project and portfolio governance routines, including status reporting, steering forums, and change control, providing oversight and transparency. Identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks and issues with portfolio impact, maintaining RAID logs, and escalating promptly are key responsibilities. The Project Manager will partner with Finance to track budgets, forecasts, and approvals, ensuring spend is monitored and controlled. Acting as the primary point of contact for delivery communications, providing clear, regular status updates to senior stakeholders and delivery teams is expected. The role requires driving delivery execution in SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid environments, adapting ways of working to meet business outcomes and control requirements. Effectively managing multiple concurrent initiatives with competing deadlines and priorities, remaining flexible in a dynamic environment with changing requirements, and coaching/influencing cross-functional contributors are also crucial. Ad hoc duties as required to meet business needs will be part of the role.

Requirements

  • Proven track record delivering technology change in financial services, ideally within Rates & FX trading technology (voice, electronic, and hybrid broking).
  • Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams, including geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong delivery discipline: planning, milestone management, governance routines, and clear status reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies, driving timely decisions to protect delivery outcomes.
  • Experience working with Finance to track budgets/forecasting and to support approval and control processes (where applicable).
  • Strong understanding in at least one product category, Rates, FX, Equities or Credit.
  • FX: Spot, Forwards, NDFs, Options
  • Equities: Cash Equities, Equity Options, Structured Products
  • Rates: Government and sovereign bonds, repos, basis swaps, swaptions, inflation swaps
  • Credit: Corp Credit, Single Name and Index Credit Default Swaps
  • In‑depth knowledge of hybrid broking models, including: Voice trading and broker‑assisted workflows, Electronic and hybrid execution models, Trade and order capture across multiple venues and systems.
  • Strong understanding of front‑to‑back trading workflows: Front Office: pricing, execution, voice/electronic broking, Middle Office: controls, validation, STP, exception management, Back Office: confirmations, clearing, settlement, invoicing, payments.
  • Awareness of relevant regulatory and control frameworks, including MTFs, MiFID, FCA, EMIR, and market surveillance.
  • General Understanding and Experience with Trading infrastructure, managing and understanding basic requirements around compute (cloud and on prem), databases, networking, etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Communication & Stakeholder Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and structured documentation.
  • Confident engaging with senior Front Office stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Ability to interpret complex trading concepts and communicate effectively to technical and non‑technical audiences.

  • Experience working within SAFe, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies, applying the right level of planning and governance for the initiative.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and delivery tooling; experience with Microsoft Project and Visio (and/or BPMN 2.0) for planning and process modelling.
  • Working knowledge of the SDLC and release practices, with a focus on operational readiness and controlled implementation.
  • Candidates need to have recent experience supporting Front to Back-office deal flows and HAVE RECENT EXPERIENCE WITH FX, EQUITIES, RATES AND/OR CREDIT.
  • CANDIDATES MUST HAVE GOOD TENURE AND/OR LONG PROJECTS.
