How You’ll Make an Impact As a Project Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in driving top-priority innovation projects within Lubrizol Performance Coatings, enabling sustainable growth and successful commercialization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Bachelor of Science preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading large, complex projects, preferably from innovation through commercialization.
At least 5 years of experience working within a global matrix organization.
Strong foundational knowledge of project management principles.
Proficiency with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.
Outstanding organizational, leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
Change management mindset with the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional, matrix project teams accountable for innovation project results and adherence to Performance Coatings work processes.
Define expected business outcomes for each project, including value proposition, risk/return, and marketing plans covering positioning, placement, pricing, and promotion.
Plan, budget, execute, and document strategic innovation projects, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and cost objectives are met.
Develop and maintain strong project operating mechanisms, tools, and processes to improve execution effectiveness.
Create project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans to manage uncertainty and strategic change.
Evaluate and communicate risk and reward trade-offs impacting project objectives and deliverables.
Negotiate with resource managers and resolve resource constraints through independent decision-making.
Provide regular, clear communication to business and technical leadership on project status, milestones, schedules, and budgets.
Strengthen project management capability within Performance Coatings through coaching and continuous improvement.
