About The Position

LG Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multifamily, mixed-use, and high-rise residential projects from preconstruction through closeout. Unlike a traditional general contractor environment, this role offers direct exposure to both development and construction, providing the opportunity to collaborate closely with Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership teams throughout a project's lifecycle. The Project Manager serves as the primary leader responsible for project performance, driving budget, schedule, quality, and team success while helping deliver some of Chicago's most impactful residential and high-rise developments. This is an opportunity to join a growing Develop-Build platform, lead complex projects, mentor developing project team members, and play a key role in shaping the future of LG Group's construction operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive construction management experience
  • Experience managing multifamily, mixed-use, high-rise, or large-scale commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, building systems, and contract management
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, schedules, budgets, and financial reports
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from preconstruction planning through construction completion and turnover
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and procurement strategies
  • Manage project financial performance, forecasting, job costs, contracts, and change orders
  • Monitor critical path activities and proactively identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, trade partners, ownership groups, and internal stakeholders
  • Oversee project documentation, reporting, communications, and project controls
  • Facilitate collaboration between office and field teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to ownership and leadership teams
  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Support safety, quality control, and operational excellence initiatives throughout the project lifecycle
