About The Position

The DH Pace Company is a family-owned and privately held business with annual sales over $1 billion through 60+ offices located across the continental United States. The Company is an industry leader in the distribution, installation, maintenance, and repair of a complete range of commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking and security products. In 2026, DH Pace is celebrating its 100th anniversary in business. DH Pace Company, Inc aspires to hire a Project Manager for our National Accounts Facilities team in our Olathe, KS office. This individual will ensure project objectives are met by specified date and within budget by effectively planning, directing, and coordinating activities.

Requirements

  • Construction Management Degree or Two (2) years’ experience as a Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager/Engineer for a construction/service company, sub-contractor, or property management firm preferred
  • Candidates will need to have a high attention to detail and enjoy a fast-paced work environment that is very deadline focused
  • Mechanically minded or inclined
  • Strong mathematical ability; must verify bids for accuracy
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, customer relations, and problem-solving skills
  • Successful completion of references, employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record (if applicable) required in advance of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans and specifications to determine materials, schedule, budget parameters, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources for the various phases of the project
  • Discuss and establish work plan outline with staff; assign duties, scope of authority and provide technical advice/trouble-shooting
  • Monitor submittals/track job materials/quotes
  • Connecting and interacting with General Contractors
  • Direct and coordinate activities to ensure project is on schedule and within budgeted scope; review status reports prepared by staff and make changes where needed
  • Other duties as assigned
