Requirements

  • 5 years of experience with utility scale PV Plants in excess of $50 million USD
  • Construction and Energy construction activities in the field
  • Construction in an EPC Contractor
  • Procore and BlueBeam

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a "Safety First" attitude throughout the project from all levels of management and operations.
  • Supervise, manage, and direct the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of personnel.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with the owner or the owner’s representative.
  • Read, understand, and plan according to the work specifications and contract responsibilities.
  • Understand and plan work according to project plans, change orders, shop drawings, subcontracts, purchase orders, and monthly pay estimates.
  • Monitor the cost of Equipment on the project and implement strategies to stay within budget.
  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines in P6 CPM.
  • Oversee daily field activities leading to optimal progression of the project with Superintendents.
  • Anticipate project conflicts, communicate preventative action plans, and implement solutions to avoid issues.
  • Select and oversee Subcontractors and Suppliers.
  • Create, update, review, and maintain budget for the project.
  • Generate solutions to stay on time and on budget.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Manage planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, and field operations of utility-scale renewable energy construction projects.
  • Promote Safety-First culture by ensuring compliance with company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and project requirements; participate in safety planning; review Job Hazard Analyses; and work with Superintendents, subcontractors, and safety personnel to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Review project plans, specifications, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and pay estimates; collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams; assess requirements and design changes; and allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet objectives.
  • Manage equipment utilization, costs, and budget variances; implement corrective actions; and improve efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain Primavera P6 CPM schedules, forecast resources, address delays, and implement recovery plans.
  • Direct construction activities through Superintendents; resolve field issues; ensure quality and safety compliance; and assign resources.
  • Manage project budgets and forecasts; work with owners, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and vendors to resolve technical, contractual, scheduling, and resource issues.
  • Support utility-scale solar projects in Texas generating renewable electricity for ERCOT grid.
  • Contribute to multi-million-dollar projects involving project planning, cost management, scheduling, safety, quality control, risk mitigation, commissioning support, and operational readiness.
