Project Managers are responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. They lead a variety of different types of projects, hold kickoff calls for internal and external customers, and ensure end results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit. The role rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters. This includes developing communication plans and interfaces to execute per project plan and scope, and developing and maintaining successful client relationships. The Project Manager will also develop business opportunities as they arise and is responsible for project start-up, project quality, and compliance. This includes submitting and reviewing change orders, while effectively communicating issues and developing resolutions. The role involves tracking and maintaining project budgets, and ensuring subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders are reviewed and accurate. Additionally, the Project Manager will participate in the development of schedules and sequencing of work, develop project schedules, and be responsible for project cost control. They will also secure transportation and ensure material and subcontractors meet schedule requirements, work with engineering to secure approval drawings and installation drawings, and work with Permit personnel to secure permits as needed.
