HDR is looking for an Industrial Project Manager with experience supporting Industrial sector clients and projects in the Southeast. This position will be located in either HDR’s Charleston or Greenville office, supporting a growing Industrial market sector in manufacturing. They may also support clients and projects in agribusiness, food and beverage, oil and gas, mining, and aggregates industries. Primary responsibilities for this position will include project leadership, management of multidisciplinary teams, as well as understanding of scope of work, schedule, and budget. This individual should be familiar with engineering disciplines involved on manufacturing and industrial projects, as well as implementation of QAQC procedures. This role also requires client interaction (from pre-positioning for the work, proposal development, through project completion) and strong verbal and written communication skills as needed for regular interaction with internal staff such as project team members, marketing staff, and operations leadership. They will also work closely with South Carolina leadership, as well as our Advanced Manufacturing Practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • PMP certification
  • Experience managing engineering projects for Advanced Manufacturing industry
  • Local candidates are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
  • Be responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
  • Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
  • Establish and client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
  • Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
  • Implement QA/QC procedures
  • Perform other duties as needed
