About The Position

Terraphase Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team in our Los Angeles, or Sacramento offices. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental consulting projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. You'll lead project teams, oversee technical work, mentor junior staff, and help deliver high quality solutions that protect human health and the environment.

Requirements

  • Cal/OSHA Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) certification required
  • College degree (BS, MS, MPH) in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline
  • 5+ years of experience managing hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, or environmental consulting projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality, and hazardous building materials regulations
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
  • CDPH Lead Inspector/Assessor certification or ability to obtain
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel throughout California for project and client needs
  • Flexibility to occasionally support off hours work, including evenings and weekends, when project demands require

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following company policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times
  • Manage hazardous building materials and industrial hygiene projects from proposal through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Plan and oversee asbestos, lead, mold, water intrusion, indoor air quality, and other hazardous building materials investigations and remediation projects
  • Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and project documentation
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communications
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to field technicians and junior staff
  • Coordinate and oversee environmental sampling activities including air monitoring and bulk sampling
  • Support business development efforts by developing client relationships, preparing proposals, and identifying new project opportunities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Terraphase to deliver integrated environmental solutions
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
