Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience with managing construction projects
  • Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawing
  • Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills
  • Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

Nice To Haves

  • Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review project proposal/plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and procedures
  • Ensure direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout, managing costs, and maximizing profitability
  • Resolve daily issues that may arise effectively to ensure a timely, safe, and profitable project
  • Resolve all conflicts and misunderstandings in the contract & specification
  • Review constructability constraints by identifying value engineering opportunities
  • Prepare project reports for management and customers
  • Prepare and collect change orders and ensure work is delegated appropriately
  • Develop and communicate a QAS/QC plan - including specific responsibilities and procedures
