About The Position

Serves as the primary technical resource for implementing app-wide changes, projects, and upgrades for applications such as the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This role involves managing the WMS change control process, ensuring system and process integrity during implementations, and creating/maintaining project documentation. The Project Manager will oversee projects from initiation to completion, including resource assignment, timeline setting, impact notification, and successful execution. They will also collaborate with system providers and other departments for cost estimations, track project health, manage action items, and ensure UAT and project deadlines are met. Additionally, the role includes conducting feasibility analyses, risk management, supporting the application support team, and assisting with customer-facing integration and implementation projects. A key aspect is supporting security best practices, establishing escalation protocols, identifying improvement opportunities, and continuously learning about application capabilities and project management trends.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of warehouse operations and warehouse software, such as WMS
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodology and Tools with knowledge of Project Management Disciplines
  • Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and document processes and procedures
  • Ability to understand project planning and develop project timelines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with internal and external resources, respond to questions from senior management, and manage through conflict with a positive, flexible attitude and professionalism
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, especially Excel
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or related
  • Minimum 4 years project management experience
  • Minimum 4 year industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary technical resource for implementing app-wide change, projects, and upgrades for applications such as the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Manage our WMS change control process, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate
  • Ensures system integrity and process integrity as changes are implemented to the WMS, including but not limited to build updates, app-wide changes, or changes requiring system downtime
  • Creates and maintains project management and application downtime management documentation
  • Manage projects, ensuring resources are assigned, timelines are set, impacted parties are notified, process is followed, execution is successful
  • Works with system providers or other departments to obtain costs for system enhancements or projects
  • Tracks and reports on project health, including but not limited to deadlines, impact, application downtime, expected vs actual cost
  • Manages action items for projects, ensures UAT timelines are established and met, ensures project deadlines are met, ensures project cost approvals are received and tracked
  • Conducts feasibility analyses and risk management on potential and current projects
  • Offer project support to application support team members
  • Supports customer facing integration and implementation projects
  • Understand security best practices, advocating for security improvements within warehouse applications
  • Support in establishing and maintain escalation and communication protocols for application upgraded or downtime
  • Identifies application improvement opportunities
  • Continued learning of application capabilities, configurations, limitations, etc.
  • Continued learning of project management, industry trends, client requirements, other applications available to support operations, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
