About The Position

OHO is seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to play a critical, hands-on role on large, complex website projects from discovery through launch. As a temporary but integrated member of our cross-functional project team, this contractor will serve as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating closely with strategists, researchers, designers, and developers to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role requires someone who can quickly get up to speed, structure and manage work effectively, and operate with a strong consulting mindset. You’ll develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines; facilitate clear decision-making; proactively manage risks and scope; and adapt plans as new information emerges. Success in this role depends on strong communication, sound judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to balance delivery rigor with flexibility. The ideal contractor is both autonomous and collaborative—able to lead confidently, think strategically, communicate clearly with clients and internal teams, challenge assumptions productively, and keep outcomes front and center throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of client-facing digital project management experience (agency or similar environment)
  • Experience leading large, complex website projects
  • Familiarity with Drupal and/or WordPress projects
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Basecamp, Kantata, or similar
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize inputs into clear options, insights, and next steps
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and adjusting plans based on evidence
  • Ability to challenge ideas diplomatically and present trade-offs clearly
