About The Position

Brown and Caldwell is currently looking for a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Project Manager to join our Atlanta-based municipal team. The successful candidate will apply knowledge of project delivery processes, business acumen and metrics, and management for the purpose of planning, executing, and delivering quality projects to our clients. Together with strong technical skillsets in water/wastewater infrastructure projects, the ideal project manager will apply solid business judgment along with interpersonal strengths. The effectiveness of our project delivery teams begins with the leadership of the project manager; therefore, our ideal candidate will demonstrate communication mastery, organizational aptitude, problem-solving, and the ability to motivate/manage diverse project teams to build and maintain relationships with our clients. Our Atlanta operation offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in the Metro Atlanta area. In this role, you will work closely with our technical experts, project delivery teams, and clients to advance our technical services and support business development on a wide variety of drinking water and wastewater projects in the Atlanta market as well as the Southeast area.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Civil, Environmental, related Engineering or Science field; MS and/or MBA degree preferred.
  • PE licensing or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months is required
  • 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering with project management experience
  • Technical experience delivering engineering studies and design of water/wastewater pipelines, pump/lift stations and/or treatment
  • Stay current on regulations and technical advances
  • Ability to demonstrate strong project management and leadership skills through previous experience
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to work well within a team environment
  • Direct, delegate and supervise project tasks, provide general oversight and review for quality deliverables
  • Competency in development and monitoring project schedules and budgets
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required
  • Must be proficient in using standard computer programs (MS Word, MS Teams, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Outlook) required
  • Must be proficient in schedule development and management utilizing MS Project Scheduling tools and software.

  • Change Management - Identify and manage internal and external changes to mitigate risks.
  • Risk Management - Ability to identify risks, develop risk mitigation strategies and ongoing risk monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support achievement of project goals related to scope, schedule, budget and quality.
  • Monitor profitability through routine earned value analysis and compliance, business revenue forecasting and timely invoicing.
  • Ability to build successful relationships with Clients, while collaborating with client service managers and project teams to assess client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and share clients’ critical success factors to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Support business development efforts by leading and/or contributing to technical content of proposals.
