About The Position

The Project Manager, Technology oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, including platform migrations, software development, infrastructure upgrades and enhancements, and cross-departmental initiatives. The role focuses on eCommerce and marketplace projects and uses agile methodologies to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards. Success is measured by timely completion, stakeholder satisfaction, resolving challenges, and maintaining team alignment.

The position is based in the company’s Corporate Office in Sandy Springs, Georgia, and is in-office Monday through Friday, with discretionary flexibility to work from home.

The Project Manager leads projects from initiation through delivery; develops plans for scope, goals, schedules, resources, and risks; works with stakeholders to turn requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items; and communicates status, updates, and risks across the organization. The role also facilitates agile ceremonies, coordinates third-party integrations and vendors, monitors project performance using KPIs and other metrics, and drives continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering technology projects; experience in Shopify or eCommerce environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and sprint planning.
• Experience translating business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven ability to manage third-party integrations and coordinate with external vendors.
• In-depth knowledge of eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or BigCommerce.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Nice To Haves

• PMP, ScrumMaster, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Project management experience in Shopify or eCommerce environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage technology projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop project plans covering scope, goals, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items.
• Communicate project status, updates, and risks to executives, developers, QA teams, product owners, and other stakeholders.
• Apply agile methodologies, including sprint planning and backlog grooming, and facilitate daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Coordinate third-party integrators and vendors to support the integration of external systems, services, and APIs.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, anticipate obstacles, and develop contingency plans.
• Monitor and report project performance using KPIs and other metrics to track progress, identify issues, and support continuous improvement.
