About The Position

The Project Manager (Technical) oversees the planning, execution, and successful delivery of cross-functional technical projects supporting strategic and operational initiatives across the healthcare system. This position partners with IT teams, clinical informatics, business analysts, operational leaders, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality and compliance standards. The Project Manager (Technical) manages technical projects from planning through implementation and post-project evaluation. The role translates business needs into technical solutions, coordinates cross-functional resources and stakeholders, manages project scope, schedules and budgets, and supports successful system implementations. The position plays a key role in driving performance, compliance, quality, and innovation within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience managing technical projects in a healthcare or enterprise IT environment.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in healthcare IT project management.
• Experience with EHR systems, cloud platforms, or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or hybrid project methodologies.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Agilist.
• ITIL Foundation Certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.

Benefits

• Retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
• This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
