About The Position

Stryker is hiring a Project Manager - Sustaining, based in Mahwah NJ to support Joint replacement! In this role, you will lead cross-functional project teams to plan and execute sustaining workstreams - owning scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder alignment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant project management experience or equivalent experience leading complex workstreams.
  • Experience in regulated or quality-driven environments
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet)

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Medical device industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project stakeholders to define, refine, and align on project scope and objectives.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), integrated schedules, Gantt charts, critical path analysis, and key workstreams.
  • Lead project execution by tracking scope, schedule, cost, and quality, and proactively managing trade‑offs and changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to establish budget requirements, and monitor and manage costs to ensure alignment with approved financial targets.
  • Establish and execute a robust risk management plan by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project risks throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support procurement planning and partner selection in collaboration with sourcing and supply chain stakeholders.
  • Define resource needs, secure and allocate project team members, clarify roles and deliverables, and provide performance feedback to functional managers as appropriate.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder and communications management plans to ensure alignment, transparency, and engagement across key audiences.
  • Represent the project in governance forums and leadership reviews, effectively communicating scope changes, resource needs, timeline adjustments, and budget impacts.
