About The Position

RK&K is seeking a talented Project Manager in Structural Engineering to join our growing team. With an expanding portfolio of exciting projects and new opportunities across our portfolio, now is a great time to be part of our dynamic and forward-moving firm. As a member of our Structures team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation and participating in projects across the local state and RK&K’s overall service area. You should have DOT experience, be highly proactive, able to develop creative technical solutions, have a strong understanding of structural operations and hands-on experience with bridge design and field operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering
Ten (10) or more years of bridge design experience
Excellent communication skills including proposal development
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Nice To Haves

Masters degree in Structural Engineering

Responsibilities

Provide structural expertise on all project aspects associated with conceptual engineering, detailed engineering designs, and preparation of contract documents for construction followed by construction administration with respect to the structural aspects of the project
Serve as Project Manager on a variety of structure related projects
Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans
Direct project staff and sub-consultants
Serve as liaison between client and firm
Execute QA/QC for completeness and accuracy of design work
Provide engineering judgment and initiative within the Structural Engineering field
Train, and mentor entry level and junior level structural engineers
Participate in Business Development and Marketing to secure future clients and workload
