We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Global Manufacturing team and lead strategic supplier source transfer initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of supplier source change projects across a broad range of product families and suppliers. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your adaptability, organizational skills, and leadership will be key to delivering successful project outcomes. The position is based at our Longueuil location, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Requirements

  • 5+ years pertinent experience in Project management/ Operations/Engineering/Supply Management
  • Bilingual French / English
  • Demonstrated leadership skill
  • Demonstrated aptitude for teamwork - Autonomous, organized & efficient
  • Experienced with project management tools/software: MS Project, Excel, other.
  • Good communication abilities
  • Knowledge of SAP and procurement processes will be an asset
  • Field of study: Engineering, Manufacturing Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, Business Administration, Aeronautical Maintenance, Aeronautical Manufacturing, Aerospace
  • This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
  • The selected candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods. Employment is conditional upon the successful completion of these checks and obtaining the required clearances. Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the employment offer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large scale and high complexity projects (Technical / Logistical / Commercial) and lead the interdisciplinary governance of these projects.
  • Determine the financial viability of identified projects from our Sourcing team to achieve our goals for cost reductions and increase of supply chain performance
  • Maintain managed and cost reduction forecast, follow up actions and highlight changes
  • Plan and execute supplier change projects (transition projects) for purchase or manufacture parts following our internal qualification process for new suppliers while respecting the allocated time and budget
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary activities and teams (Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Laboratory, Inspection, etc...) to resolve various technical issues impacting transitions and deliveries
  • Lead project reviews with internal or external suppliers and follow-up the parts development.
  • Forecast and monitor the associated project budgeting.
  • Travel and variable schedules may also be required for interactions with suppliers, partners, and internal sites (manufacturing and assembly).
