About The Position

The Project Manager will lead cross functional initiatives, support strategic HVAC accounts, and ensure seamless execution of projects from planning through completion. This role focuses on project coordination, technical problem solving, and internal collaboration. Must excel at organizing complex workflows, driving accountability, and partnering with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in HVAC, industrial heating, thermal processing, manufacturing, or a technical environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems and applications.
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-department projects.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and systems (e.g., Smartsheet, ERP platforms, CRM systems).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Moderate travel may be required (<15%), primarily for key project meetings or site walkthroughs.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into actionable project plans.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project-tracking platforms.
  • Comfortable driving accountability across multiple teams and workstreams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with OEMs, large retailers, installers, or HVAC service providers.
  • Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, and compliance frameworks for manufacturing or technical project environments.
  • Experience with ERP/CRM integrations, system migrations, or workflow automations.
  • Background in procurement, vendor management, or operations is beneficial.
  • Strategic thinker with a collaborative, customer-first mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, milestones, risks, and deliverables are clearly defined and maintained.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams—including engineering, customer service, operations, and product management—to keep projects aligned and on track.
  • Develop project schedules, documentation, dashboards, and reporting tools to drive transparency and data driven decision making.
  • Track KPIs, monitor project performance, and prepare regular updates for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate issue resolution by identifying root causes, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Support process-improvement initiatives, including Kaizen activities, workflow optimization, and system integrations.
  • Understand client and project requirements related to HVAC systems, product configurations, installation factors, and technical constraints.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy, manage engineering change requests, and support smooth product or service delivery.
  • Work with operations, purchasing, and vendor partners to align supply chain needs, equipment requirements, and project dependencies.
  • Assist with cross-functional coordination on ERP/CRM integrations, system automations, and data integrity improvements.
  • Serve as an internal liaison for key accounts—ensuring their projects, technical needs, and support requirements are handled efficiently.
  • Provide structured communication between internal teams and external partners (OEMs, retailers, service providers) with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support escalations by coordinating internal teams and ensuring issues are documented, tracked, and resolved professionally.
  • Collaborate with other Riverbend Industries HVAC organizations to streamline shared customer support and project handoffs.
  • Lead with a Safety-First mindset in all planning and coordination activities.
  • Support compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other relevant industrial and operational standards.
