Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (required)
  • 5–10+ years in architecture, with a strong focus on retail or commercial rollouts.
  • Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • Expert level in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient use of SketchUp and other 3D modeling software, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Excellent written + verbal communication and client relationship management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, or related field (preferred)
  • Professional architectural registration (AIA/NCARB) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Translate brand prototypes and corporate identity into site-specific designs, including space planning and fixture integration.
  • Lead projects through all phases, from initial site survey and conceptual design to construction administration and closeout.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, landlords, consultants (MEP, structural), and general contractors.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality construction documents, ensuring they meet building codes, ADA requirements, and local zoning laws.
  • Develop and monitor project work plans, budgets, and schedules, proactively identifying risks to prevent delays or cost overruns.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs (Requests for Information), and conduct on-site inspections to ensure design intent is maintained.
  • Systematic checking and reviewing of designs, documents, and construction to find and fix errors, ensuring the final building meets standards, specifications, and client needs, preventing costly rework and delays by catching issues early.
