About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Retail Pricing to lead and deliver strategic pricing initiatives across one of our strategic clients. This role is responsible for managing cross-functional projects that optimize pricing strategies, improve margin performance, and enhance competitive positioning. This role requires a blend of consulting, project delivery, and retail pricing expertise, with strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in consulting, retail pricing, revenue management, or commercial strategy.
  • Proven track record leading client-facing projects in a consulting or advisory environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail pricing levers (promotions, markdowns, assortment pricing, omnichannel considerations).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile or hybrid delivery models as appropriate.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution for pricing initiatives, including planning, scope definition, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation models.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and issues; implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives, budget, and timelines.
  • Utilize BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to monitor and report performance.
  • Collaborate and drive alignment across cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketing, supply chain, IT, and finance.
  • Facilitate executive workshops, steering committees, and working sessions.
  • Communicate complex concepts in a clear, business-focused manner.
  • Manage vendor relationships (consulting partners, etc.).
  • Support organizational change management, including training and adoption strategies.
  • Partner with merchandising, finance, and data/analytics teams to design and implement pricing strategies.
  • Support price optimization initiatives (everyday pricing, promotions, markdowns, dynamic pricing).
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on domain knowledge, especially in retail, pricing, and loyalty systems.
