About The Position

The Project Manager will manage all aspects of incoming customers’ projects by determining the customer’s needs and working with the various departments within Plascore to satisfy those needs. A strong focus on customer service and accuracy in quotations and project launches. To deliver first-class product launches and ensure all customer specifications are adhered to during the product launch. Organizing and controlling project activities through communicating risks, opportunities, and status of the project. Coordinates between purchasing, scheduling, and engineering for a successful project completion.

Requirements

  • At least five years progressively more responsible experience
  • A professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completing a four-year baccalaureate program.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

Responsibilities

  • Reviews project blueprints and specifications, works with purchasing and production to develop quotes and assembles project submittals.
  • Follow through on quote until closing.
  • Create accurate quotations within a timely manner by means of advanced skills in completing cost estimates, cost break downs, and blueprint reading.
  • Perform contractual document review including technical specs, and logistics specs.
  • Assist with sourcing products to meet customer expectations.
  • Input and maintain customer contact information in Plascore's contact management system within SAP.
  • Ensure project launch with strong coordination between all departments.
  • Track the delivery of materials in support of new projects, coordinating with purchasing.
  • Works with scheduling and engineering on prioritizing new project launches and critical shipments.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, non-recurring charge budgets and expenditures.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Maintains organized and detailed records of project.
  • Communicate with customers to identify and define project requirements and dates.
  • Responds to incoming calls and inquiries from customers.
  • Make sales calls and presentations to customers and end users.
  • Participate in planning, setting up, and attending relevant trade shows.
  • Attend national and international exhibits, as a visitor, exhibit staff and presenter.
  • Maintain a current lead list, containing potential, current, and lost sales opportunities and applications for selected markets and applications.
  • Participate in providing sales forecasts for existing, newly closed, pending, and potential accounts.
  • Make customer visits on an as-needed basis, up to 5 workdays per month, not counting travel time.
  • Prepare call reports on each customer contact and/or visit.
