About The Position

The State of South Carolina is looking for a Project Manager - Project Lead. This is a new position to assist with SCHOUSING project initiatives. The candidate will manage several projects through solicitation, selection, contract negotiation, acquisition, implementation, migration, archival and sunset of legacy applications. The role requires strong project management expertise, the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within scope and aligned with organizational objectives. The candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident and available for onsite interviews. The contract duration is 12 months with a possibility for extension.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of Experience in IT project management
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Hybrid (Agile and Waterfall) Project Management
  • 3+ Years of Experience Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Risk Management
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Resource Management
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Change Management
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Budget Planning
  • PMP, PMI-ACP or CSM certification required or in the process of obtaining certification.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage all project management activities for agency wide initiatives as an experienced agency project manager.
  • Demonstrate project management expertise in both traditional and agile methodologies and influence project team compliance with industry best practices.
  • Manage the overall planning, execution and delivery of multiple projects in parallel.
  • Control scope and schedule to ensure project deliverables, milestones and required tasks are completed as planned.
  • Plan and conduct project status and review meetings.
  • Prepare project status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Prepare necessary documentation to support project initiatives.
  • Manage development of project documentation for new services assigned.
  • Ensure all required project documentation is developed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in ongoing process improvement around delivery, methodology and other relevant areas.
  • Identify potential problems proactively and facilitate problem resolutions by implementing risk mitigation strategies.
