About The Position

My client defends against chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives (CBRNE) threats. They are seeking a project manager to lead one of their programs from a client site in the DC metro area. This role involves managing a program where schedule adherence is critical. The assignment is for twelve months with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time employment. This is mission-critical work focused on CBRNE detection, response, and protection. The project manager will have full ownership of the budget, schedule, and client relationship, and will have a voice in proposal strategy, influencing the program's future direction.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph, current, and not sponsorable.
  • U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to work on-site in the DC metro area.
  • Standard 40-hour week.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build the work breakdown structure, then defend the budget and schedule.
  • Use earned value analysis to identify and address schedule slips early.
  • Hire and reshape the project team.
  • Own the client relationship and proactively identify risks.
  • Engage with leadership and the customer on cost, schedule, and technical status.

Benefits

  • $81 to $108 per hour
  • Twelve-month assignment
