Project Manager - Professional Services

DGR Systems
$80,000 - $110,000Remote

About The Position

DGR Systems designs and delivers technology solutions that our clients rely on to run their organizations. This role is about more than coordinating tasks. You will own the client relationship, the project record, and the path forward on every engagement you touch, from kickoff through close. You will report to the Sr. Manager, PMO and work closely with DGR's Technical Leads in a two-in-the-box delivery model. The Project Manager and Technical Lead bring different responsibilities to the engagement but share accountability for delivering a successful outcome. This role will feel different from a PM position where every project follows the same playbook. DGR has established delivery methodologies, standards, and support structures, but our engagements vary significantly in size, complexity, technology, and client environment. We expect our PMs to understand the difference and adjust the level of planning, communication, and governance accordingly. The PM's role is not to direct the technical team. It is to create the conditions for the technical team to do their best work while keeping the client informed, expectations aligned, and the engagement moving forward.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of project management experience in technology consulting or professional services
  • A track record of managing IT deployments, integrations, and migrations across infrastructure, networking, security, or modern workplace environments
  • Experience navigating difficult client conversations, including scope changes, competing expectations, project risk, or delivery challenges.
  • A proactive communication style, especially when a project is at risk or expectations need to be reset.
  • Strong project documentation habits, with the ability to maintain a clear and accurate project record throughout the engagement.

Nice To Haves

  • Worked across multiple technology service areas
  • Experience with a delivery model where a PM and technical lead share ownership of the outcome
  • Exposure to Microsoft technology areas such as Modern Workplace, Identity, Infrastructure, or Security
  • Managed multiple concurrent engagements across varied client types in a consulting environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead technology projects end to end, applying DGR's delivery methodologies to fit the engagement rather than the other way around
  • Partner with the assigned Technical Lead in a two-in-the-box model, sharing ownership of the outcome and making sure priorities, decisions, dependencies, and next steps remain clear.
  • Own all project documentation, artifacts, and reporting. The client, leadership, and team should always have an accurate read on where things stand.
  • Anticipate and clear roadblocks ahead of the team rather than reacting after they have slowed delivery
  • Surface risks and dependencies early, along with a recommendation for how to address them.
  • Match the level of process and coordination to what each engagement actually needs. Apply the right level of structure for the size, complexity, and risk of the engagement.
  • Be the client's primary contact. Own the relationship through proactive communication, honest status, and expectations that match reality.
  • Manage scope clearly and professionally. Help clients understand what is included, identify when a request represents a change, and work through those conversations without losing trust.
  • Coordinate across internal teams, partners, and client stakeholders to keep everyone aligned and moving forward.
  • Keep project records and documentation current throughout each engagement, not as a milestone activity but as an ongoing standard.

Benefits

  • competitive healthcare coverage
  • 401(k) match
