We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager – Reconstruction to oversee insurance-based reconstruction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and/or light commercial remodeling or restoration, with proven experience managing projects of varying scope and complexity. This role requires someone who can thrive in the fast-paced, ever-changing world of insurance restoration, demonstrating creative problem-solving skills and leadership through the challenges of rebuilding from loss.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in remodeling, restoration, or insurance-based reconstruction
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and building codes
- Experience working on insurance claims and understanding of carrier expectations
- Ability to manage project budgets and timelines effectively
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively and adapt to jobsite challenges
- Proficiency with project management software and documentation tools
- Valid driver’s license required
Responsibilities
- Oversee reconstruction projects from estimate approval through project completion
- Coordinate subcontractors, in-house crews, materials, and scheduling
- Communicate with adjusters, homeowners, and internal teams to ensure alignment and transparency
- Solve unique reconstruction challenges, especially those arising from fire-damaged properties
- Maintain budgets, timelines, and high-quality construction standards
- Ensure jobsite safety and compliance with building codes and client requirements
- Document project milestones, changes, and communications
- Support project close-out, including punch lists and customer satisfaction follow-up
