About The Position

Hal Leonard is undergoing a significant operational transformation in production and fulfillment. We are seeking a Project Manager to provide structure to a complex and dynamic change agenda. This role involves conducting thorough research, developing business cases, translating strategic goals into actionable decisions, and engaging effectively at all levels, from the shop floor to executive meetings. It is a highly visible position offering substantial ownership. The company is actively integrating AI and automation across its operations, and candidates with a focus on improving efficiency and enhancing user experience are highly desired.

Requirements

  • Proven Project Manager experience in physical operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Track record of leading complex, multi-workstream transformation or change programs.
  • Proficiency in building and presenting business cases to senior stakeholders, including financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to objectively evaluate systems and vendor options.
  • Experience with WMS, ERP, or production systems, either as a user or in an implementation context.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, effective from operational to executive levels.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving progress independently without close oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with print-on-demand or digital print operations.
  • Knowledge of European or US distribution and logistics networks.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end transformation program for Production & Fulfillment, including program plan, milestone tracking, and decision log.
  • Lead research workstreams for warehouse systems selection (ERP/WMS), print-on-demand models, and stock management strategy.
  • Develop business cases for each workstream, encompassing cost-benefit analysis, vendor comparisons, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Manage relationships with external consultants, vendors, and suppliers involved in the program.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between Operations, Finance, IT, and commercial teams for all transformation activities.
  • Prepare briefings, recommendations, and options papers to facilitate executive decision-making.
  • Identify and manage program risks and dependencies, escalating blockers promptly.
  • Report regularly to stakeholders and maintain documentation in Confluence.
