Project Manager – Print & Fabrication

PCL GraphicsMarkham, ON
Onsite

About The Position

PCL Graphics is a large-format printing and fabrication company with decades of experience producing high-complexity work across signage, display, and specialty graphics. We're hiring a Project Manager who knows this industry from the inside — someone who understands how a shop runs and can keep jobs moving from order intake through final delivery. This is a hands-on coordination role. You'll be working directly with production, not managing from a distance.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a project manager, production coordinator, or account manager in printing or signage — this is mandatory
  • Strong working knowledge of large-format printing, signage, fabrication, and finishing workflows
  • Hands-on familiarity with vinyl, laminates, rigid materials, cutting, routing, metal, and sign construction
  • A clear understanding of how jobs move through prepress, print, finishing, and installation prep
  • Ability to read specs, drawings, and production details accurately
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in a high-volume environment
  • Confident communicator — with the shop floor and with customers

Nice To Haves

  • Background in a large-format print shop, sign company, or display/fabrication environment
  • Experience with digital printing, CNC cutting, laminating, mounting, assembly, and packaging
  • Familiarity with production scheduling, workflow systems, and job-tracking tools
  • Knowledge of fabricated and traditional signage

Responsibilities

  • Own active jobs from kickoff through production, finishing, packaging, and shipping
  • Coordinate daily with sales, prepress, print, CNC, finishing, and shipping teams to keep schedules on track
  • Review job specs, drawings, materials, and production requirements to confirm jobs are set up correctly before they hit the floor
  • Build and maintain project timelines, track milestones, and follow up on open items proactively
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams and customers on status, timelines, revisions, and issues
  • Catch risks and production problems early — then work with the team to solve them
  • Manage job documentation including work orders, change requests, and project notes
  • Align materials, outside services, and internal resources with the production schedule
  • Support quality control by confirming work is being produced to spec
  • Keep multiple jobs organized and moving in a fast-paced environment
