About The Position

The Project Manager ensures the timely, safe, and cost-effective management of departmental projects. The role manages contractors, employees, vendors, third parties, and other internal departments to achieve stated goals, and is responsible for the full scope of project management duties associated with departmental goals. The Project Manager works collaboratively within teams and across departments and continually reevaluates and improves processes to increase efficiency. Candidates must live in or near Shentel’s operating footprint or be willing to relocate there.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of telecommunications experience.
• At least 6 years of project management experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis.
• Proactive task-management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must live in or near Shentel’s operating footprint or be willing to relocate there.

Nice To Haves

• PMP, CAPM, BICSI, or similar certifications.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Sitetracker, Smartsheet, Microsoft Visio, and/or Render.
• Candidates with a strong technical background and substantial industry or military experience will also be considered.
