About The Position

The Project Manager - Plant Engineering will be responsible for establishing the needs of various plant sectors regarding layout or infrastructure. This role involves presenting projects to internal entities, communicating progress, and developing innovative solutions while respecting customer needs and adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations. The position requires ensuring deliverables meet plans and specifications, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and overseeing external contractors. Budget adherence and reporting of any excess costs are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, architecture / or Equivalent.
  • More than 5 years of experience as a project manager in an industrial environment or Equivalent.
  • Excellent spirit of synthesis; easily popularize technical information in written and oral communications.
  • Excellent command of French and good knowledge of English.
  • Good computer skills in a Windows environment: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Teams etc.
  • Ability to interact easily with several stakeholders from different backgrounds.
  • Autonomous, innovative and dynamic.
  • Leadership skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Very organized, results-oriented while remaining flexible to changing priorities and accustomed to working on several projects at the same time.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ideally, experience in drawing on Autocad.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the needs of the various sectors of the plant in terms of layout or infrastructure.
  • Present projects to internal entities and communicate their progress.
  • Develop and choose innovative solutions while respecting customer needs.
  • Respect the rules in terms of health, safety and the environment and intervene as needed.
  • Ensure that deliverables comply with plans and specifications and meet deadlines.
  • Plan several projects simultaneously while respecting the challenges and constraints of operations.
  • Manage the work under your responsibility (HSE, Quality, etc.) by ensuring constant monitoring of external contractors.
  • Respect budgets and inform Bombardier managers when required of any excess costs related to the project.
